2000 Onward: Embrun in 2005 edit

In 2005, Embrun was a bedroom community. Most people in Embrun worked in Ottawa. Highway 417 provided two exits, 88 and 79, each at a separate end of Embrun, which allowed citizens to get easy access to Ottawa. Embrun was still expanding in 2005. New streets and homes were being built in the Eastern parts of Embrun.

Also, businesses were now in large numbers. Restaurants, stores - Embrun had many business in 2005. Many of these businesses employed teenagers, senior citizens and students, a large part of the reason why Embrun is no longer entirely a bedroom community.

However, in 2005, Embrun didn't have any true industry, and residential homes were still a huge majority of Embrun's buildings.

In 2005, a large Community Complex was planned, but it remains in the planning stage.

Embrun was definitely a boomtown in 2005.
