Summary

Description
English: 1972 AMC Javelin AMX, a high-performance car in the "pony car" market segment car made by American Motors Corporation (AMC). This two-door hardtop (no B pillar) is finished in all green with a green interior as well as the hood T stripe in gold. Among the AMX's standard equipment for 1072 was AMC's 360 cubic inch (5.9 L) 4-barrel V8 engine. This AMX also has a hood with cowl ram air induction into the air cleaner. The automatic transmission has a stirrup-type gear selector on the center console. Features include the center armrest between the front bucket seats and the original factory AM radio with a built-in 8-track stereo tape player. The cassette is The 4 Seasons "Edizione d'Oro" (Gold Edition) recording made by Philips. The trunk has the original "space-saver" spare tire and inflator canister. Visible on the right wheelhouse housing in the trunk is the sticker noting AMC's "TwinGrip" non-slip rear differential. These photographs were taken during the 2017 American Motors Owners (AMO) convention that was held in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. This show was organized by the Potomac Ramblers Automobile Club.
