Dan sululu is a special delicacy in the North, loved by many. The food is quite time consuming and stressful to prepare but it is worth it because it is enjoyable. Dan sululu gives the body energy because it is basically carbohydrate. It can be enjoyed with palm oil and pepper. Also, it can be further garnished with veggies.

  1. Combine the cassava flour and potash. Sift to get rid of any chaff, and discard the chaff.
  2. Combine the flour with enough water to make a dough.
  3. Pinch off small pieces of dough, and roll them into balls.
  4. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the dough balls, and boil for several minutes.
  5. Remove the pot from the heat, and drain the dumplings.
  6. Rinse the dumplings with fresh water, then drain again.
  7. Transfer the dumplings to a serving dish. Drizzle with palm oil, then season with pepper, seasoning cube, and a pinch of salt. Garnish with tomato slices.
