Adun is a savory Nigerian food made from cornmeal. Due to its sweetness, the name adun was coined by the Yoruba people. It is best consumed with garri, pap or Nigerian custard.

  1. Combine the cornmeal, palm oil, groundnut, pepper, and salt.
  2. Mix thoroughly until a thick paste is formed.
  3. Put mixture in wrapping leaves to form shape.
  4. Serve with garri, pap, or Nigerian custard.

  • To make cornmeal/cornflour, sun dry corn and grind.
  • Corn flour and ground pepper without palm oil is known as elekute.
