Collage

A collage (From the French: coller, to glue) is a work of formal art, primarily in the visual arts, made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole. A collage may include newspaper clippings, ribbons, bits of colored or hand-made papers, portions of other artwork, photographs and found objects, glued to a piece of paper or canvas. [1] This is a guide to show you some techniques for making a collage and provide you with some ideas.

MaterialsEdit

Typical materials for collages are newspaper cutouts, postcards, photographs, packaging, ornamental paper, book pages, colored or hand-made paper, yarn, cloth, printed tissue, or pieces of other artworks. Start collecting anything collage-able you like that comes into your hands.
