This is a tracking category, a category intended to build and maintain a list of pages primarily for the sake of the list itself. These categories are used to track, for example, pages using deprecated syntaxes, to maintain a list of pages that may need to be edited en masse later, or to aggregate the members of several sub-categories by other classifications into one larger list.
This category is not shown on its member pages, unless the appropriate user preference is set. This category lists pages that have detected allbooks-related problems that need fixing. When a subject or category reports itself here, there will be a diagnostic message displayed on that page explaining the problem and likely remedies, along with buttons to implement those remedies. When a content page reports itself here, by default there will not be a diagnostic message displayed on that page, but template {{subjects}} (which is responsible for reporting content pages here) can be induced to provide diagnostic messages, with suggestions and buttons, by specifying parameter diagnose=true (or diagnose= any other non-blank value). Note, it generally isn't necessary to save the page with the diagnose flag set, since previewing the page displays the diagnostics. When fixing these reported problems, fixing one problem may affect other reports, so it's generally best to refresh one's display(s) before moving on to the next problem. |
