This book is intended for students of mathematics making their first forays in rigorous mathematics. This usually happens in the transition from calculus (usually involving mostly the 'mechanical' application of the rules of differentiation and integration), to (real) analysis which involves proving more general statements and usually requires a bit more lateral thinking than introductory calculus.
